Just How Important is Iodine For Normal Daily Body Function?
By Dr. Michael Badanek DC, BS, CNS, DACBN, DCBCN
I am absolutely amazed at the epidemic levels of Iodine/Iodide deficiency in my clinical practice. In the past 32 years I can safely say that nine out of ten patients are clinically deficient in iodine levels when tested in my office. This severe problem is now causing a cascading medical emergency presenting with severe consequences.
Iodine, which has been systemically removed from foods and food processing is now presenting with much greater frequency and severity clinical conditions such as ADD, Poly Cystic Breast Disease, Hypothryoidism, Graves Disease (Hyperthyroidism), Auto-Immune Thyroid Conditions, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Obesity, Hypertension and Hormone Resistance Syndrome and Breast Cancer. Iodine is a well know treatment for women how suffer with chronic re-occurring urinary tract infections and unless there is kidney failure, there will not be iodine toxicity. As a matter of fact any excess of iodine in the body is easily excreted with no ill effects.
